Role Description:


As a Senior Bat Ecologist, you will play a pivotal role in our ecological surveying team, specializing in bat surveys.

You will be responsible for conducting thorough assessments of bat populations and their habitats, providing expert advice to clients, and implementing conservation measures where necessary.

Your expertise will contribute to our commitment to environmental stewardship and sustainable development.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Conducting comprehensive bat surveys using a variety of techniques, including acoustic monitoring and emergence surveys.
  • Analyzing survey data to assess bat populations, species diversity, and habitat suitability.
  • Providing expert guidance to clients on bat conservation measures, including habitat enhancement and mitigation strategies.
  • Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to integrate bat ecology considerations into development projects.
  • Keeping abreast of the latest research and best practices in bat ecology and conservation.

Requirements:


  • A degree in ecology, biology, environmental science, or a related field.
  • Extensive experience in conducting bat surveys and interpreting survey data.
  • Indepth knowledge of bat ecology, behavior, and conservation issues.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage with clients and stakeholders.
  • Proven project management capabilities, including the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Full driving license and willingness to travel to survey sites as required.

£23,708.98-£49,284.58 per year
