Motor Finance Underwriter - Southampton


Salary:
Up to £48,000 DOE


Key Responsibilities:

  • Analysing supporting documentation to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Handling incoming lending inquiries efficiently and effectively.
  • Building and nurturing strong business relationships with the introducer panel to drive business growth.
  • Demonstrating autonomy and empowerment while making informed referrals to experienced team members or Credit Risk Department when required.
  • Adhering to credit policy, lending guidelines, agreed deadlines, and service standards in decisionmaking.
  • Active utilization of the mandate across the department, where applicable.
  • Participating in meetings and attending relevant training courses for personal and role development.
  • Establishing and maintaining professional relationships with external service providers, introducers, and internal customers.

Required Skills:


  • Thorough understanding and compliance with prevailing regulatory requirements.
  • Strong business acumen and excellent risk management skills.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
  • Clear and concise communication skills across all levels.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Desirable previous experience and working knowledge in the motor underwriting industry.

£42,000.00-£48,000.00 per year
