Salary:

£35,000 - £40,000 a year


Working Pattern:

Day Shift (39 hours)
-Monday to Thursday 08:00 to 16:30, Friday 08:00 to 15:30


Duties:


  • Perform CNC programming using Catia and Hypermill.
  • Develop tooling solutions for both cutting and fixturing as needed.
  • Provide methods and technical support to other members of the team wherever necessary.
  • Working in conjunction with the manufacturing engineers to programme and operate the CNC machines to meet the daily production targets.
  • Utilising the latest technological methods, review and develop existing programmes to ensure maximum efficiency and quality.
  • Ensure CNC program downloading uploading to the machines.
  • Optimise CNC programs for cycle time reductions.
  • Ensure that full documentation is kept up to date detailing the CNC path, featuring, and tooling information.
  • Maintains safe operations by adhering to safety procedures and regulations.
  • Document actions by completing production and quality logs.
  • Assist in solving manufacturing and quality issues utilising root cause and analysis tools.
  • Support the hosting of audits from regulatory agencies as and when required.

Requirements:


  • Previous experience of programming CNC milling machines.
  • An indepth knowledge of conventional and CNC machining.
  • Ability to understand, interpret and work to Engineering drawings and to work to tight tolerances.
  • Ability to produce and edit NC programmes.
  • Previous experience of working with CAD/CAM capability.
  • Experience with Heidenhain & Fanuc controls a distinct advantage
  • Previous experience of manufacturing with CNC equipment and controls
  • Willingness to be trained across departments, supporting flexible working requirements
  • Working knowledge of ISO Quality standards
