What you'll be doing:


The Learning Management Systems Specialist role is a technical, system-focused role, where you will build our learner experience through innovative and continuous improvement of our Learning Management System (LMS) and ensure that the LMS is configured in the best possible way to deliver an effective and engaging user experience for all end users.

You will also act as second-line support for end-user queries with LMS functionality.

You will also play key role in the development and maintenance of other learning related systems

This role is a key element in Anchor's ability to provide a first-class organisational development service.


Other responsibilities will include:

  • Managing and overseeing the correct assignment of courses to users within the LMS.
  • Managing and maintaining the accuracy of user, role, organisation, course, program, accreditation and all other data held in the LMS, liaising with internal and external IT stakeholders and suppliers as necessary.
  • Leading all LMS troubleshooting activity to identify, investigate and resolve issues, liaising with internal stakeholders and LMS supplier support as necessary.
  • Ensuring that all reporting within the LMS is accurate.
  • Engage learners with our LMS and other virtual solutions
  • Exploit the opportunity for more social learning through the use of current platforms such as Workplace.

About you
We'd be really interested in hearing from you if you have experience/knowledge of the following:

  • Experience of project managing a number of learning technology solutions.
  • Strong experience with Moodle or Totara LMS as a site administrator, configuring, testing, and delivering functions with the LMS
  • Experience of handling, investigating, responding and resolving enduser queries in a clientsupport or helpdesk environment
  • Use of testing and assessment methodologies to maintain and develop LMS functions
  • Knowledge of current and upcoming learning technology best practice, industry best practice, market competitors and developments in the L&D technology arena
  • Excellent knowledge of MS Excel as an investigative tool to analyse large volumes of data
  • It would be great if you have a relevant technology or IT system related qualification.
