The Purpose of the Examination & Claims Administrator is to take ownership of the coordination of examinations, end point assessment and certification at PTS end to end.

This includes the planning, administration, implementation, review and analysis of these areas whilst ensuing compliance with awarding body requirements and providing a seamless learner / employer experience.


Some of your roles and responsibilities will include:

  • Management of the examination entry process, including management of our SkillsForward Initial Assessments and recording results, identifying and ensuring evidence of learner exemptions, checking all learners are on the right programmes and examinations,
  • Supporting the process relating to access arrangements (support for learners with additional learning needs, exam rooms, invigilators (and training invigilators), managing emergency access arrangements etc).
  • Management of examination days in according with JCQ and awarding body regulations including preparation for each exam day including ensuring all IT is ready and working, starting examinations, dealing with emergencies, irregularities and malpractice, dispatching exams etc.)
  • Management of Invigilators.
  • Management of IT equipment in line with Awarding Body guidelines, updates, software installation and troubleshooting for our online exams.
  • Management of examination results. Accessing them electronically, disseminating to learners, recording on our MIS system.
  • Post examination support, rebooking tutors for learners who failed, issuing certificates.

What do you need to be successful?

  • Excellent administration, planning and organisational skills, including workload management techniques.
  • Ability to maintain accurate and precise records.
  • Ability to be proactive and work independently as well as part of a team.
  • Excellent IT skills using a range of software packages, with the ability to manage online exams and ensuring IT is compliant.
  • Ability to prioritise workload and meet deadlines
  • Ability to maintain and respect confidentiality of information.
  • Active listening and learning.
  • Professional manner and commitment to excellent customer service.
  • Ability to make decisions and problem solve
  • Must be prepared to travel as required by the business.
