Description

Are you an experienced Test & Metrology Technician looking for a new opportunity? I'm currently recruiting a permanent position based in Northampton.

The role offers a competitive salary and is looking for someone as soon as possible

Responsibilities
Assists new test developments to meet future requirements, from concept to validation
Perform testing on dedicated test rigs and measurement using metrology systems
Assess samples post test and report results through computer database
Oversee procedures and administration are followed to ensure traceability and robustness of data provided.
Ability to identify faults and repairs on mechanical, electrical and hydraulics
Mentor and train technicians and operators
Supervise department in absence of team leader

Requirements:

Experience in automotive or similar component R&D testing background
Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical and hydraulics systems
Experience of instrumentation systems
Experience of using measuring equipment, verniers, micrometres
