Stoke Holy Cross Primary School is seeking to appoint an experienced and qualified SENDCo and Inclusion Lead.

The role of SENDCo and Inclusion Lead can be highly rewarding, as you will have the opportunity to directly contribute to pupils receiving the support they need towards achieving their full potential.

Key responsibilities will include (see Job Description):

  • Ensuring the school is meeting all the requirements identified in the SEN Code of Practice;
  • Champion for accessibility and inclusion;
  • With the support of the Senior Leadership Team, as the new SENDCo and Inclusion Lead, you will take responsibility for strategic development and daytoday implementation of the SEND policy and all inclusion matters;
  • Responsible for the SEND information report and provision made for pupils with learning barriers or disabilities, to ensure they are working towards achieving their potential;
  • Work closely and proactively with staff, parents/carers, external partners, Governors and other agencies;
  • Inspire and motivate other teachers, model good practice and develop a whole school commitment to supporting pupils with SEND;
  • Provide professional guidance to staff to help ensure high quality teaching, behaviour management and the effective use of resources to secure an inclusive education.
