Defence Equipment
The Contract Let Officer role is based within our Defence Equipment business area.

Defence equipment stores, maintains, repairs and overhauls military vehicles and equipment so the UK army is able to train and deploy in a moment.

As well as supporting vehicles that are already in service, the team carries out vehicle assembly integration and tests new vehicles.

The role
The difference our new Contract Let Officer will make

As a Contract Let Officer, you'll have a role that's out of the ordinary. You'll provide maintain and improve contract cover for the Authority.

Day to day, you'll carry out end to end management of the tender process and contract award for goods and services to achieve key contractual and business targets for Consumables, Repairs & Workshops, support the preparation and presentation of agreed procurement strategies at Gate review and support Strategic Sourcing in the evaluation of Defence Pre-Qualification Questionnaire (DPPQ) and Invitation to tender (ITT) in support of the tender process.

You'll draft and issue of Contract Notices, DPPQ and ITT in support of the tender process and manage Contract award and associated commercial compliance.

Essential experience

Proven experience in a contract and task / project management focused role
Experience with MS office, Excel, Word
You must hold or have the ability to obtain SC security clearance
