About the role:
The role will involve the day-to-day administrative support to the business to ensure its smooth running. The role will involve supporting the Finance Manager and staff (Ecologists and Arborists) with administrative duties.
Full time or part time hours/flexi working possible.


Who we are:
Greenwillows Associates is a friendly, family-run independent ecological and arboricultural consultancy based in Warboys near Huntingdon, Cambridgeshire. We have been established for over 20 years. We conduct a wide variety offield surveys, tree, and ground works, covering the east and south-east of England. Our clients range from large utility companies, developers and architects through to schools and individual homeowners.


Who we are looking for:


  • A friendly, postitive person
  • Ability to use own initiative, well organised
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office word and excel, in particular
  • Used to working in open office environment
  • Experience using Xero (or similar accounting system)
  • Able to manage own workloads and priotise
  • Ideally at least 2 years previous experience working in a similar role (Finance, HR or business administration)

Finance/HR

  • Inputting expenditure receipts into XERO accounting software, filing of documentation and bank reconciliation.
  • Payment of subcontractor invoices and other bills
  • Payroll sending out and inputting of timesheets, processing in Xero. HMRC payments
  • Assisting with managing employees annual leave/TOIL entries in relation to timesheets and Xero, using HR software and liasion with contracted HR support services company
  • Completing new starter/ leaver documentation

Business Adminstration

  • Answering incoming calls, redirecting, and taking messages.
  • Ordering of office supplies, equipment, and uniform. Distribution and managing stock and uniform (PPE personal protective equipment) inventory.
  • Postal/courier duties.
  • Arranging travel and accommodation for site work.
  • Manage general running of the office such as assisting, when necessary, with dealing with issues with telephones and computers, maintenance, resources etc.
  • Other adhoc duties as required
