Description

As a farm assistant, you will be responsible for assisting on company Broiler Farms, including estate management, walking the poultry sheds with bird Welfare at the forefront of each task, and maintaining the professional integrity and appearance of the farm.

The role includes feeding the birds, all aspects of poultry stock-manship, taking samples, and maintaining high standards of hygiene and biosecurity on farm.

You will also maintain correct and up to date records of all matters relating to birds, food, supplies, and stocks on farm and assist other operations such as bird weighing, catching and placing chicks and any other reasonable duties as required in your specific day to day work as given by Farm/Assistant Farm Manager.

What you'll need:

A keen interest in farming where animal welfare is of the upmost most importance

Desire to work 'hands on' in a farming environment
