Desborough Hotel Group, a small privately owned company require a Meeting & Events Sales Co-ordinator for two hotels in Shepperton - The Warren Lodge Hotel, a 50 bedroom 3 star hotel in a beautiful location, directly on the River Thames and The Anchor Hotel, a 29 bedroom traditional property in Church Square.


Role would ideally suit a graduate with an events related degree who is looking for a role in which they can expand their knowledge and learn additional areas of hospitality including room sales and revenue management.


Main Responsibilities:

You will work closely with the Events Director, the Hotel Managers and the Revenue Manager to proactively sell the hotel's facilities to meet budgeted revenue.


You will be responsible for the coordination of booking events within both hotels, including corporate meetings, private dining or private functions such as weddings and Christmas parties.


You will handle initial enquiries, hold meetings with guests, provide quotes and organise functions through to completion including briefing operational teams to ensure the smooth running of the event.

You will be responsible for all administration involved in organising events including taking payments, confirmation letters, entering details into a computer system and producing event schedules for guests.


Skills required:

Self-motivation and enthusiasm with customer focus and sales ability

Clear telephone manner and good communication skills

Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise and multitask

Good administration skills, PC literate and exceptional attention to detail

A positive and flexible approach to work with a 'can do' attitude

Ability to work very well in a team as well as be relied apron to work with own initiative

Previous experience in a similar position and the ability to work to deadlines and towards targets is essential.


Hours: 40 hours per week including some evenings and weekends depending on business needs
