Job Purpose:

The Apex Group is looking for a driven marketeer with an entrepreneurial spirit.

The role of Head of Digital Business Growth provides a unique opportunity to lead a multidisciplined marketing team working closely with our global sales group.

The Apex Group is a global business operating in many regions, this role will have a direct impact on our growth over the coming years.

The Head of Digital Business Growth will be responsible for ensuring a full pipeline of warm leads are distributed to our global sales teams and managing the Marketing team.

Reporting to the Senior Commercial Manager this role will be responsible for helping to define the new business acquisition strategy and executing ambitious targets whilst ensuring the sell-thru of assets already acquired on the Apex Trading Platform.

Main responsibilities and accountabilities Own and Optimise the targeted leads funnel through continuous improvement of lead targeting.
Develop a thorough knowledge of market changes and forces that influence the company.

Create and implement growth strategy with functional stakeholders, identifying key customer profiles to target, tailoring and refining the sales pitch.

Lead the group's entry into new international markets, and new verticals in the UK.Work closely with the B2B marketing team to develop targeted, culturally and language relevant lead generation campaigns.

Commit to specific targets, take full responsibility for performance tracking and delivery in line with the Group's FY23 Annual Operating PlanIdentify key opportunities and areas of improvement for the team, creating and maintain a wiki that is shared among all team members to ensure that best practices are implemented across the team.

Lead, mentor and develop team members to empower actions and drive accountability for each individual's contribution.
Keep the team engaged and ensure employee satisfaction.
Distribute leads and balance pipelines of in-country offices.
Support team members in building effective, solution-focused proposals to win new business.

Build data capabilities to track performance across the areas you directly and indirectly control, understand how key metrics can be impacted.

Accountability for our CRM to ensure the business has clear sight of new business growth opportunities in the near & long-term.

Build strong, trusted relationships with all internal networks/stakeholders that deliver continued team cohesion and a culture of excellence, collaboration & accountability.

Contribute to sector knowledge, insights, and value growth - being viewed as a thought leader within the business.


Desired skills & experience

  • Minimum 3 years experience of leading marketing teams and driving new business growth.
  • Demonstrated success in developing and executing new business strategies.
  • Outstanding record of new business development wins delivering growth.
  • Experience using CRM systems such as HubSpot, Salesforce or similar.
  • Experience in new market entry with an ability to make calls about longterm growth potential in a new target market.
  • Experience winning large enterprise customers, through to midmarket and SMEs.
  • Highly strategic & commercial mindset.
  • Ability to utilise data/data analytics to drive decisions and recommendations related to process optimisation/cost savings.
  • Outstanding analytical and problemsolving abilities.
  • Ability to balance daytoday business management activity (organisation, planning, data numeracy) with strategic planning across multiple workstreams and customer and internal stakeholders.
  • Able to manage diverse stakeholders and to understand and analyse complex problems.
  • Positive personality with an energetic leadership style and strong resilience. An entrepreneurial mindset capable of doing a lot with little.
