Job Title:
Care Worker
Responsibilities:
- Provide personal care and support to individuals in their homes or residential care facilities
- Assist with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting
- Administer medications as prescribed by healthcare professionals
- Assist with meal preparation and feeding
- Perform light housekeeping tasks, such as cleaning and laundry
- Provide companionship and emotional support to clients
- Monitor and report any changes in clients' health or behavior to the appropriate healthcare professionals
- Follow care plans and instructions provided by supervisors
- Participate in mandatory staff meetings
- To ensure confidentiality is always maintained, in keeping with the Data Protection Act (DPA ensuring that clients personal details are not disclosed to any unauthorised person and all records are maintained within the DPA 1998 requirements
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience in care giving or a related field is preferred but not required
- Compassionate and patient demeanor
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to follow instructions and work independently
- Reliable transportation to travel to clients' homes or care facilities
- Ability to pass a background check
Salary:
£11.75-£12.50 per hour
