Salary £25,000 - £37,000 dependant on experience

Are you an experienced commercial pipe fitter looking to join a growing business?


Due to continued success and growth we are looking to recruit a commercial pipe fitter to provide a high quality and cost-effective Heating system maintenance and repair service to a range of customers.

Main duties will be on the emphasis of servicing, repairing and installing gas, oil and solid fuel heating systems and plumbing works at various commercial properties within Lancashire Gas Services area of operation.

We have undertaken many construction projects from small repairs to large refurbishments in a variety of commercial industries, whilst always maintaining a track record of keeping our projects on time and within budget.


Roles and responsibilities:


  • Undertake various installation and maintenance repairs to commercial heating and pipework systems
  • Carry out other maintenance, repairs and remedial work as directed, including plumbing.
  • Carry out installation, operation, maintenance and repairs of plant and equipment
  • Complete works in accordance with Lancashire Gas Services specifications and in compliance with the relevant legislation, relevant trade body and industry standards and best practice.
  • Participate in an emergency 'out of hours' service as required, including carrying out other multi skilled trades work where necessary.
  • Provide professional assessments and advice for customers
  • Work to operational and Health and Safety procedures, safe working practices and approved codes of practice as appropriate.
  • Be responsible for completing dynamic risk assessments when arriving at site, checking that the safety of themselves and/or others will not be compromised by completing the task.
  • To comprehensively complete required paperwork or electronic equivalent as appropriate

  • Experience of using power and hand tools
  • Holds a full and valid Driving Licence
  • Have excellent organisation skills to manage self and workload to meet strict deadlines.
  • Ability to work at heights and in differing conditions
  • Be able to use both documentation and IT systems for reporting and maintaining records
  • Be able to work to strict deadlines
  • Be capable of working efficiently, effectively, diligently and courteously without the need for constant supervision
  • Have an excellent awareness of current Health and Safety regulations backed up by evidence of relevant training, and the ability to work in a safe manner
  • Have good verbal and written skills
  • Have experience in Repair and Maintenance works both in occupied and unoccupied properties including property inspections, defects analysis and specifying building repairs
  • City and Guilds Plumbing qualifications or equivalent.
  • Gas Safe Registration in the following disciplines: CCN1, CEN1, HTR1, CPA1, CKR1, WAT1, OFT101, UDHW, OFT102, OFT105E, CIGA1, TPCP1A, ICPN1, OFT600A, and Energy Efficiency for new boiler installs.
