MAIN PURPOSE OF THE ROLE
Responsible for the daily operation of Air Nation and ensuring that high standards of service delivery are always maintained and delivered within agreed procedures.
To drive and deliver high operational standards throughout the business and to supervise the day-to-day operation of The Centre, maintaining the required standards of health and safety, cleaning and security and to supervise all employees and contractors as defined.
Co-ordinate centre activities, supervise and assist all customers using the leisure facilities.MAIN DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITES
- Responsible for the supervision of customers whilst in the centre and the maintenance of safety standards in line with agreed Procedures and Emergency Action Plan.
- Responsible for the control and supervision of all activities within the centre.
- Responsible for the health, safety and welfare of all customers and staff within the centre.
- Supervise and direct employees ensuring completion of scheduled daily tasks and completion of associated documentation.
- Assist the owners with recruitment, induction, training, appraisals and performance management of staff within area of responsibility.
- Undertake Personal Development Reviews with designated employees.
- Always provide a high standard of customer care responding to any complaints, queries or requests in a professional manner in liaison with the Contact Centre.
- To assist the kitchen with food preparation, cleaning and serving duties as necessary for the smooth running of the Centre.
- Unlocking and locking of the centre as required and be on the Call-Out list for outofhours attendance where appropriate.
- Deal with incident/accidents and administer first aid as required, following recording and reporting procedures for incidents and accidents, including safeguarding.
- Maintain a high standard of, cleanliness and housekeeping throughout the building always, working with staff and daily check sheets.
- Carry out basic maintenance as and when required and record and log defects.
- To follow centre procedures on ordering of goods to include, kitchen, resale, First Aid, PPE and cleaning products.
- Responsible for security, checking and storing deliveries of goods and supplies.
- Completing daily facility inspection checks making sure items of furniture, fittings and play equipment are operating in a safe manner, reporting any defects as necessary/repairing where able.
- Undertake and review risk, manual handling and other assessments as directed.
- To demonstrate a commitment to equality and diversity in both the delivery of services and to staff.
- Provide cover in any area of the building, where qualified, to ensure continuity of service to customers.
- Act as Fire Marshall and responsible for the evacuation of the building in the event of an emergency.
- Verify daily takings, check cash floats and empty vending machines as required.
- Undertake any other duties commensurate with the post's level of responsibility

Emotional Demands
- To be able to deal with customers in a professional and positive manner
- To remain calm and deal with any emergency situations that may arise
Physical Demands
- Involves regular lifting and carrying and the post holder is required to be physically fit and healthy
- Cleaning of play frame, changing rooms, toilets and activity areas as required throughout shift using chemicals protective clothing provided
- Can be working in a hot and humid environment during the summer months.
- Can be exposed to bodily fluids when giving first aid protective clothing is provided
Working Conditions
- Required to maintain a First Aid at Work Qualification and to attend training sessions as required
- Required to work on a shift roster which includes daytimes, evening, weekends, school holidays and Bank Holidays, and to provide short notice cover.
Salary:
Up to £10.42 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
