Local Category Buyer

Peterlee/Remote - Hybrid

£24/hr to £32/hr - Inside IR35 - (fully dependent on experience)

18 month initial contract


A Category Buyer opportunity has become available for one of the world's leading manufacturers of off-highway machinery and diesel and natural gas engines.


Role Duties:

  • Management of the supplier base (Indirect Purchasing Suppliers) for specific categories
  • Management of Bidding process based on stakeholder requests
  • Management of strategy for local source
  • Management of supplier performance using SRM process
  • A good understanding of purchasing
  • Relevant education background
  • Indirect purchasing experience
  • Welldeveloped interpersonal skills are required in dealing with sensitive issues, developing others, and reaching consensus on specific actions
  • Analytical, problem solving, and project leadership skill.
