Multi-trades Recruitment are seeking a highly organized and efficient individual to join our team as a Administrator.

In this role, you will provide essential administrative support to the PGR Programmes Manager, EEI Coordinator, and PGR Centres Team.

You will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth running of our research programmes and supporting our PGR students throughout their academic journey.

Monday-Friday

40Hours per week


Key Responsibilities:


  • Provide administrative support to the Programmes Manager, EEI Coordinator and Centres Team.
  • Assist in servicing research programmes governance and management meetings.
  • Support stakeholder experiences, placements, and external partnerships.
  • Organize and administer the PGR programmes recruitment cycles in collaboration with the EEI Coordinator.
  • Support admissions processes and the delivery of Welcome Week.
  • Provide advice, guidance, and support to students on various processes, resources, and requirements.
  • Administer student supervision reporting procedures, maintain student records, and produce management information and reports as needed.
  • Support processes related to student grant awards and student vivas.
  • Assist with processes and finances for grants and awards.
  • Coordinate procurement for goods and services, liaising with the University procurement and finance teams.
  • Coordinate PGR travel, liaising with the University travel provider, central UoH teams, and the EEI Health and Safety Officer as required.
  • Provide support for fieldwork, including travel arrangements and liaising with relevant teams.
  • Organize and support external and internal events, seminars, and workshops.

Essential Requirements:


  • Relevant administrative experience, preferably in an academic or research setting.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Proficiency in using Microsoft Office and other software for data analysis and reporting.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in recordkeeping.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team and provide support to colleagues.
  • Proactive and selfmotivated with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.

Desirable Requirements:


  • Experience in supporting research or postgraduate programmes.
  • Familiarity with procurement and finance processes.
  • Understanding of health and safety regulations in a research or academic environment.
