We're looking for a Supply Chain Sustainability Specialist to join the Contract Management and Procurement team on a 12-month fixed-term contract based at Severn Trent Centre in Coventry.

EVERYTHING YOU NEED TO KNOW


As a Supply Chain Sustainability Specialist, you will be driving Severn Trent's Supply Chain Sustainability Strategy, focusing on real living wage, measuring, tracking and reporting on progress within our contractual supply chain to pay the real living wage; our plan for Social -Value (feeding from our Severn Trent societal strategy); engagement with our contracted supply chain on Carbon emissions (setting science-based targets) and supporting our Waste and Circular Economy strategy.

This exciting role will help to achieve our Net Zero commitment for scope 3 and our social agenda to help improve lives for others.

Some of the other key accountabilities of this position include:

  • Driving supplier assessment through EcoVadis
  • Provide expert advice and recommendations to the business on aspects of sustainability, specifically carbon reduction.
  • Act as an internal and external representative for Severn Trent's Supply Chain sustainability policies and projects, including external networking groups; with a key focus on Scope 3 emissions.
  • Influence Procurement and Contract Management activity to ensure sustainability principles are considered and embedded within key category and supplier management strategies, including at supplier selection and throughout contract delivery.
  • Support the Sustainability Team to report more accurately on scope 3 emissions.
