Description

Birmingham Children's Hospital are recruiting for a permanent Ward Clerk/Receptionist to join our admin team on the Paediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU).

Would you like to be part of a team where no two days are the same and where you can really make a difference?

If you are a dynamic, conscientious person, you could be who we are looking for to join our busy admin team, who work to provide exceptional Ward Clerk/Reception support to our clinical colleagues on our busy Paediatric Intensive Care Unit.

We are looking for someone who has an excellent work ethic and can live up to our Trust values.

The successful applicant will be the first point of contact for all visitors, so a professional, pleasant and helpful attitude towards staff, our patient families and visitors is an absolute must.

The role requires the ability to prioritise, to work flexibly and independently as well as a keen eye for detail and a willingness to help.

Your duties will include being responsible for all accurate record keeping for PICU activity, using NHS computerised systems (full training will be given) & hard copy records.

You will be responsible for filing & maintenance of patient casenotes. You will also deal with telephone enquiries and work on the reception desk as directed by your line manager.

You will join a fantastic existing team that, between them, cover the ward from 8am to 8pm Monday to Sunday, including bank holidays and Christmas.
