JOB DESCRIPTION

We are excited to announce that we are currently recruiting for two Commercial Apprentice's that will rotate throughout our surveying, estimating, and engineering departments.

It is designed with a mix of education, work-based learning, and ongoing support from industry leading professionals.

The commercial apprenticeship route is designed to provide you with insight into the enormous variety and the chance to explore where your own skills and interests lie with well-rounded, stretching experience within the construction industry in addition to finishing a nationally recognised qualification.

Our programme will provide a fully funded Construction Quantity Surveying Technician Level 4 Apprenticeship (Higher).

TRAINING & RESPONSIBILITIES

To ensure that comprehensive study has been undertaken of the whole life aspects of the project and the understanding of client needs.
To support and work alongside the Commercial, Estimating and Site Engineering areas of the business.
Supporting senior members of the team in the daytoday management and delivery of projects.
Demonstrate effective project management skills in all tasks.
Opportunities to visit active sites and gain experience of operational construction activities and measurement practices to support commercial assessments.
Understand the basic commercial principles.
Understand the basic principles of measuring quantities from specification and drawings.
To support and understand site engineer on groundwork and reinforced concrete frame projects.
Gain a full understanding of the tender process and tender documentation.

As a Coinford apprentice, you will be recruited on a fixed term contract.

APPRENTICESHIP TRAINING PROVIDER

ENTRY GRADE REQUIREMENTS

Construction Quantity Surveying Technician Level 4 (Higher)

5 GCSE's including Maths & English (C or above/ Grade 4 or above) and
Level 3 qualifications such as 3 A levels CCC or equivalent such as a BTEC worth 64 UCAS points.
