Purpose of the Role

I am representing a client who are looking for 2 experienced Arrears Officers to provide a holistic housing management service and to help the Arrears Team with their oncome recovery and legal processes.


You'll be expected to work a minimum of 3 days a week in the base office near you, and from time-to-time be required to travel to another office within your area.


The base offices can be found in:

North East:
Sunderland, Middlesbrough, Doncaster, Rotherham


North West/Midlands:
Greater Manchester, Liverpool, Derby, Leicester, Birmingham


Main Responsibilities

  • Be responsible for the prevention of rent arrears through effective campaigns and early intervention.
  • Be responsible for taking effective recovery action in line with agreed policies and procedures which may include attendance at court.
  • Deal with debt related enquiries by telephone, correspondence or personal interviews and prepare arrears statements as required.
  • Determine action required arising from systems generated recovery procedure.
  • Complete necessary administration to maintain all arrears recovery systems.

Requirements:


  • Strong experience working in arrears and a housing management setting.
  • Familiar with License and Tenancy income recovery processes and legal processes.
  • Experience attending court.
  • Good knowledge of Housing Benefits.
  • Experience using Pyramid/Omni Ledger or other Housing Management Systems. Support Housing Knowledge is desirable.
