Salary :
£23,000 - £25,000 (DOE)

To support the Head of HR & Operations (HoD) in managing the administration, facilities, and human resources (HR) functions of the business to ensure the smooth running of those functions so that they support income-generating departments of the business.

To assist in supporting the implementation of new strategies, procedures and plans of the business.

  • Responsible for recruitment administration, new employee paperwork and inductions, and offboarding processes across the Firm.
  • Responsible for assisting with the effective management of the Admin Department including leading, managing and developing employees to ensure optimum performance and motivation.
  • Assisting the HoD to ensure HR and office policies and procedures are up to date in accordance with legislation and good practice and assist the HoD with the delivery of employee training on these policies.
  • Responsible for procuring external services and resources needed by the business in a timely manner on a most costeffective basis.
  • Responsible for overseeing facilities management at both Market Harborough and Leicester offices.
  • Responsible for maintaining up to date employee data on the HR system.
  • Production of internal employee communications e.g. People News posts on Teams.
  • Assisting the HoD and Director Responsible with the Professional Indemnity Insurance renewal and Practising Certificate renewal process.
  • Oversee administration of Client Complaints procedure
  • Line Manager to all admin employees (save where there is a team leader in place)

Planning organising and managingall systems and services - ensuring they are up-to-date and sufficiently stocked e.g. stationery and general office supplies; administration of employees appraisal systems and incentive/reward schemes; management of premises - security, decoration, maintenance; management of reception.

Own workloadto be responsible for day-to-day HR queries from employees and to assist and advise the Department Head in management and recruitment of employees in their department; to ensure all licences, insurance and other compliance requirements are up to date; events management such as whole firm meeting and Christmas party

Decision makingto conduct day-to-day activities of the Admin and HR department consistent with the agreed aims and within the authority parameters laid down by the Directors of the business. To develop and encourage development of improved operating practices within the department and the business generally consistent with the practice of continuous improvement.

Employees supervision and managementto ensure effective supervision of employees wherever necessary and as required by regulatory requirements and to manage employees to ensure continuity and consistency of service to clients. To lead and develop employees in the department to maximise personal job satisfaction and personal development potential to benefit the business, within budgetary constraints.

Marketingas and when required to participate in the marketing and promotion of the business e.g. by representing the business at events and in conjunction with the marketing department organising events and seminars.

Client Careto ensure all client-facing employees are fully trained and comply with the firms client care complaints procedure and all regulatory requirements such as the solicitors code of conduct; to ensure all parts of the premises used grow client purposes are maintained, cleaned and presented to a high standard; to maintain and provide such statistical information as the business may require in relation to clients and client care.
