'''Overview:We are seeking a skilled Press Brake Operator to join our team.
As a Press Brake Operator, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining the press brake machine to bend, fold, or shape sheet metal into various forms.
This is a great opportunity to utilize your mechanical knowledge and skills in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.ideally with catering manufacturing background
Responsibilities:
- Set up and operate press brake machine according to job specifications
- Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and work orders
- Select appropriate tooling and adjust machine settings for each job
- Load and unload materials onto the machine
- Monitor machine operations to ensure quality and accuracy of bends
- Inspect finished products for defects or imperfections
- Perform routine maintenance on the press brake machine
- Follow all safety guidelines and maintain a clean work area
Requirements:
- Previous experience as a Press Brake Operator or similar role
- Strong mechanical knowledge and understanding of press brake operations
- Ability to read blueprints, engineering drawings, and work orders
- Proficient in using hand tools for fabricating and assembling sheet metal parts
- Basic math skills for measuring and calculating dimensions
- Knowledge of welding techniques is a plus
- Physical stamina to stand for long periods of time and lift heavy materials
Salary:
£10.33-£14.89 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
