NHS Borders would like to offer you the opportunity to join our skilled, dynamic, supportive and innovative multidisciplinary Critical Care Team in a vital and flexible capacity.

The unit is a combined 9 bedded Intensive Care and High Dependency unit which accommodates level 1, level 2 and level 3 patients.

We flex beds and patient levels depending on capacity and acuity.

We are seeking a highly motivated, enthusiastic Band 3 Health Care Support Worker to join our team in providing a high standard of service and person centred care.

This will include supporting the multidisciplinary team in the assessment and implementation of treatment programmes and care plans for patients.

The post holder will work directly with patients, local IT systems and various teams out with the department.

Support and education will be given to aid successful achievement of the National Competency Framework for Health Care Support Workers in

Adult Critical Care:
Assistive Level (Band 3) and opportunities for further relevant in-house training will be available.
