Description

To act always in such a way as to promote and safeguard the well being and interests of patients and staff.

Maintain an atmosphere conductive to recovery and maintain a friendly professional relationship with patients, relatives, carers and colleagues alike. Plan and organise activity resources and spaces within safe working practices and local procedures. Work collaboratively with the clinical team and report directly to their supervisor (Ward Occupational Therapist).

Regularly liaise with patients and colleagues to discuss, plan and implement activities appropriate to the clinical area.

Provide a diverse program of activities in line with core requirements to a group of patients and also on an individual basis.
