They provide support to the local community all year round and they are looking for a Senior Business & Community Fundraiser.

The Fundraising Team is responsible for maximising income generating opportunities by facilitating relationships with businesses, schools & individual supporters across the community, engendering donations & ensuring strong supporter care with the aim to maximisesupport across all Income Generation streams.

In addition, the team is responsible for the organisation & delivery of a portfolio of business & community fundraising events & campaigns.


Job Description:


The Senior Business & Community Fundraiser will support the business & community fundraising income streams by ensuring quality donor relationships & maximising fundraising income opportunities with a selection of supporters & local businesses.

The post holderwill also be responsible for implementing a school's fundraising strategy across nurseries & schools within the catchment area.

This involves developing year-round fundraising activities across the educational sector whilst also encouraging nurseries & schoolsto engage in existing or new campaigns Christmas Jumper Day, Bring A Pound Day etc.

The post holder will work to deliver pre-agreed KPIs, raising money at an agreed return on investment.

  • Working both onsite and out in the community; facilitate approaches & seek new support from businesses & individuals within an allocated postcode area where an intention to raise money is made. Provide an excellent experience that delivers high end results.
  • Develop & maintain an indepth knowledge of the allocated regional fundraising area, including the businesses, schools & community activities within the region with the aim to engender fundraising commitment & support.
  • Implement a school fundraising strategy with the aim to raise awareness & engender fundraising support across local nurseries & schools with a yearround plan of fundraising activities.
  • Maximise fundraising opportunities across the target audience using existing campaigns such as Christmas Jumper Day, Bring A Pound campaign & portfolio of annual supporter events etc.
  • Maintain quality relationships with supporting businesses, nurseries, schools & their decision makers to stimulate participation & engagement levels to meet KPIs.
  • Use the inhouse supporter database to develop & maintain an indepth knowledge of supporters/supporting organisations for relationship management purposes.
  • Maintain comprehensive supporter records using the inhouse supporter database, using the database effectively for the purpose of analysis.
  • Use a variety of communication techniques & develop engaging content to attract the target audience to fundraise. For example, deliver talks/presentations via classes or assemblies, virtual meetings, facetoface meetings & telephone contact etc.
  • Work closely with the internal marketing & Communications Team to implement marketing & social media materials & plans to maximise school acquisition & retention.
  • Responsible for the production & distribution of all nursery & schools related marketing materials that will inspire & maximise fundraising
  • Ensure all materials used; both traditional & digital are correct & conform to internal brand guidelines & content standards as well as meet external legal requirements.
  • Ensure the most competitive price for printed items, ensuring policies & procedures regarding procurement are adhered to.
  • Utilise & oversee volunteers who can assist with administrative tasks to best effect, to achieve goals & objectives & support minimising expenditure thus having maximum impact on surplus income.
  • Use project planner templates to support the organisation of fundraising initiatives, using a methodical approach to all tasks that need to be achieved.
  • When receiving donations & gifts (monetary & nonmonetary) adhere to procedures, ensuring the issue of a receipt & the safe provision of money etc. Ensure safe transit of the donations to the relevant department.
  • Adhere to GDPR & other data management compliance across all relevant activity & be knowledgeable of sector regulations & legal requirements. Always promote fundraising in ways that are legal, open, honest & respectful.
  • Proven teamwork & decisionmaking skills.
  • Excellent knowledge of the principles & methods for community & business fundraising supported by practical experience.
  • Knowledge of statistical reporting & producing reports.
  • Ability to prioritise personal workload to meet KPI's.
  • Excellent written & presentation skills, to prepare & present highimpact proposals & correspond professionally.
  • Professional approach with excellent formal & informal oral communication skills.
  • Ability to communicate positively with supporters, initiating & developing relationships with a variety of different people.

  • Knowledge & experience in using an inhouse database which administers income/customer records.
  • High standard of numeracy skills.

Hours:
Monday - Friday9.00am pm


Salary:
From £21,000 upwards Depending on experience
