Overall Objectives

  • To gain a full understanding of the Property Insurance Market
  • Learn all aspects of the Property Delegated Authority Schemes
  • To service and administer the insurance portfolios of Execs/Account Handlers & clients in a timely, professional and costeffective manner

The Duties of the Role

Delegated Authority

  • Providing quotations under the scheme
  • Adhering to U/W guides provided by Insurers
  • Completed BDX returns/spreadsheets
  • Issuing documentation for Renewals/MTA's/New Business
  • Providing reports for the team and Insurers
  • Assisting with workload due to team holidays/sickness
  • Ensuring Green audits are received from insurers

Clients

  • Fully responsible for own clients which incorporate Property, Terrorism, Engineering and Directors & Officers policies
  • Be first point of contact for day to day enquiries from clients, providers and other internal and external sources
  • Explain the differences in policy specific terms so clients can make informed decisions about their insurances
  • Maintain client records and data in line with procedure manual
  • Maintain retention rates
  • Attend meetings with Account Executives to build relationships with clients and providers

General

  • Comply with regulatory requirements, industry Codes of Practice and the Company's own procedures and rules
  • Maintain and develop personal knowledge and skills through Continuing Professional Development (CPD)
  • Process renewals and MTAs


To undertake any additional duties which have been specifically assigned to you and/or may be reasonably requested by your Manager or the Directors.
