Job descriptionCoach and mentor of young people, teaching them physical and non-physical attributes of non-contact boxing. Deliver technique sessions, physical education and health and well-being education. Be a trusted support for young people some of which are disengaged, vulnerable and/or 'at risk.'
Reporting to the Operations Manager.
Location:
some travel (Bristol)
Main duties and responsibilities:
- Work with young people onetoone or in a group
- Prepare for each session, plan a variety of activities week on week including a technical session with demonstrations, drills, core work, stretching and a mentoring slot
- Make use of a toolbox of activities to engage young people, 'make it fun' whilst also dealing with emotions and adapting the session format as appropriate
- Agree outcomes with schools, matching the session content. Meet school contacts regularly to review group/individual progress
- Command respect and trust from young people by sharing knowledge and expertise of boxing whilst also encouraging young people to have a voice and express themselves
- Be a link between the young person and the school, building trust and encouraging open communication
- Update the register and write up session notes at the end, provide a more detailed file note for onetoone sessions (within 1 week if not possible at the end of the session)
- Be the face of 'Empire Fighting Chance,' dealing with issues/concerns swiftly and keep management within EPC updated
- Look for additional business opportunities and refer to Business Development team where appropriate
- Regularly share experiences and learning with the other coaches.
- Use of Social Media to promote EFC activities and successes
- Keep the sessions fresh and relevant, using innovation and learning from external training

Job Types:
Part-time, Permanent
Part-time hours: 20 per week
Salary:
£18,000.00-£21,000.00 per year
