POSITION LOCATION:
Falmouth, Cornwall UK


World Fuel Services currently requires a Terminal Operator to oversee HSSEQ, cargo transfer, discharge, and storage activities on behalf of the UK's leading independent marine fuel specialist.

The role holder will support the business within a team of six operatives on a 24/7 work pattern at the Falmouth Upper Tier COMAH Marine Terminal.


Responsibilities:


  • Engage in all training and assessments in accordance with your role for continuous improvement of the control of major hazards.
  • Respond to any incidents in accordance with your role within the emergency response plans.
  • Engage in oil cargo transfer operations from ship to shore in accordance with standard operating procedures.
  • Engage in ship cargo transfer operations from storage facility to company vessels and 3rd party vessels in line with standard operating procedures.
  • Complete all daily routines as instructed by line manager.
  • Transfer of oil products from within storage facility.
  • Take tank contents measurements after oil product transfers and for stock taking.
  • Recording computerized record of oil product movements.
  • Ensure all operations are conducted in a timely and safe manner with special attention to the practical company Health & Safety, Quality and Environmental policies.
  • Complete documentation tasks prior, during and after all transactions as instructed.
  • Training: commitment to continuous improvement and support for terminal first aid and fire warden requirements.
  • Carryout maintenance tasks on Terminal equipment and infrastructure
  • Undertake terminal housekeeping and cleanliness tasks as instructed
Essential

  • Experience of using Microsoft Office products particularly Excel Spreadsheets.
  • Basic Numerate ability.
  • Willing to work within a shift pattern and flexible on working hours.
  • Experience of working to Health & Safety procedures and experience of implementing Health and Safety practices.
  • Must be comfortable working at heights in excess of 16 meters (Tank tops).
  • Strong Team Player who works equally well alone and can be selfmotivated.
  • Possession of own transport and clean driving license.
