The Company:

Nigel Wright are excited to be supporting an established client of ours in their search for a Systems Engineer.
You will be joining an existing team of established engineers.

The role is primarily a project based position dealing with infrastructure projects end to end ,with some 3rd line support.

This position offers hybrid working.

The Role:

Management and administration of businesscritical IT infrastructure, systems, and services
Deploy, support, and maintain compute, network, storage and security services
Provide 3rd line escalation for internal support teams and colleagues
Administer software updates, system backups and endpoint security systems
Create and maintain technical documentation, policies, and procedures
Establish and maintain relationships with external suppliers and partners
Outofhours 'oncall' rota

The Requirements:

Essential

2+ years' experience in a 3nd line server/infrastructure role
Excellent analytical and problemsolving ability
Excellent Customer Service skills
Excellent interpersonal and relationship building skills
Ability to multitask, prioritise and manage time effectively
Experience of supporting or administering the following systems:
Microsoft Windows server and client operating systems
Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Group Policies
VMware Virtualisation
LAN, WAN, VPN and WIFI networks
Anti-Virus, Anti-Malware, and Anti-Ransomware endpoint security

Desirable

ITIL/ITSM Accreditation or similar qualifications
Experience of supporting business critical systems in a retail, warehousing, or manufacturing environment
Experience of supporting or administering the following systems:
Cloud Services (AWS, Azure, IaaS, IaC)
HPE Technologies (Synergy, Aruba, Nimble)
Veeam Backup & Replication
SCCM
SonicWall
Jira Service Management, Software and Confluence tools
