About the Job

Maintain purchase ledger on SAGE
Maintain sales ledger on SAGE
Maintain nominal ledger on SAGE
Petty cash management and reconciliation
Manage company credit card statements (including collection of VAT receipts)
Process employee time sheets and payroll related information dealing with expenses payments
Taking responsibility for all aspects of credit control and chasing outstanding debt from customers
Liaising with customers/insurance companies to resolve invoicing queries
Address supplier queries and seek resolution of same in a timely manner
Assisting with VAT returns on a quarterly basis
Prepare financial reports as required by management
Monthly prepayments and accruals
Monthly accounts to trial balance

Skills and Experience

Minimum of 5 GCSE's including maths and English Grades A*C
Minimum of 3 years' experience working within finance/ accountancy related position in an office environment
Sound working knowledge of SAGE 50 Accounts
Competent in the use of Microsoft Office (including Excel)
Effective communication skills
Excellent planning and organisational skills
Attention to detail
Work well as part of a team
Strong IT skills
