Job Title: Property Inspector (Mechanical)

Contract Type: 6-month contract

Location: Falkirk

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Property Inspector (Mechanical) to join our team in Falkirk. As a hybrid working model, you will be responsible for carrying out inspections and maintenance work on mechanical services for properties.

Key Responsibilities

Carry out response led and regular inspections of premises to determine work requirements, priorities, and costs.
Report to the Senior Inspector and implement necessary repair works as part of the planned or non-planned maintenance programme.
Conduct annual written inspections of mechanical services for properties and provide recommendations for asset management strategy.
Respond to emergency requests for necessary mechanical repair work and arrange remedial action to ensure safety.
Issue detailed repair instructions to contractors and supervise the completion of repair work to ensure quality and value for money.
Liaise with premise managers to discuss repair work and minor planned budgets.
Maintain a working knowledge of energy management and plant control systems (BEMS) and conventional heat controls.

Requirements

HNC or equivalent construction/services related qualification.
Minimum 5 years' experience in the mechanical services industry within the commercial services sector.
Knowledge of current/relevant legislation and codes of practice.
Good communication and negotiating skills.
Mobile throughout the Council area.
Gas safe registration.

Desirable Skills

Contract management experience.
Current driving licence.
Membership of a relevant trade body.
Additional relevant training and experience.
Corporate membership.
Knowledge of BS7671 Wiring Regulations.

Salary Information

The salary for this position is estimated to be between £30,000 and £45,000 per annum, depending on experience and qualifications.
