As a Junior Design Engineer you will be part of a team of engineers to who develop best-in class Interiors for their future customers.

We are looking for engineers to work on future projects where you will be involved with cross-functional teams in thedevelopment of new full model Interiors from early Concept phase to Production, as well as work on current Life Cycle projects.

Job Duration - 12 months rolling
39 core working hours
Mon-Thurs 8am-5pm, Fri 8am-1.20pm
Hybrid working typically 3 days/week on site in Cranfield

Pay Rate:
£21.80/hour PAYE plus £3.27/hr holiday and £0.65 pension accrual (Salary equivalent £44,210)
Deliverables and KPIs

  • Support Global Design and development at part / module level
  • Support Supplier management (cost / quality and timing)
  • Meeting regulation & safety performance
  • Support managing and reporting test validation
  • Support managing and reporting cost performance
  • Support managing and reporting part quality / reliability
  • Technical analysis of market concerns
  • Managing and reporting adoption timing and delivery
  • Competitor benchmark and trend, research & analysis
  • Work within a cross functional global team

Qualifications/Skills Required:

  • Design / engineering qualification
  • Graduates can be considered
  • CAD interrogation skills
  • Time management skills
  • Microsoft office
  • Previous automotive design and development experience is advantageous.
  • Prior knowledge of interior cabin parts / modules is advantageous.
  • Prior knowledge of manufacturing processes is advantageous.
  • Valid driving licence and able to travel globally
