1. Colorectal & general surgery wards rounds

  • Colorectal & general surgery theatre lists
  • Outpatient clinics and endoscopy
  • Being trained and supported in the development of operative skills
  • Participation in Clinical Governance, including effective clinical audit, continuing medical education and mandatory training.
  • Contributing to departmental audit and research with consultant supervision. Opportunities are available to undertake personal research and enhance the CV
  • Participation in teaching programmes for medical staff, medical students (University of Leicester and University of Oxford) and other hospital employees, as required.
  • Participation in General Surgery Full Shift Rota 1:12 covering General Surgery when on call

requirements of the post.
