1. Colorectal & general surgery wards rounds- Colorectal & general surgery theatre lists
- Outpatient clinics and endoscopy
- Being trained and supported in the development of operative skills
- Participation in Clinical Governance, including effective clinical audit, continuing medical education and mandatory training.
- Contributing to departmental audit and research with consultant supervision. Opportunities are available to undertake personal research and enhance the CV
- Participation in teaching programmes for medical staff, medical students (University of Leicester and University of Oxford) and other hospital employees, as required.
- Participation in General Surgery Full Shift Rota 1:12 covering General Surgery when on call
We have also entered into a Group Model with neighbouring Kettering General Hospital NHS Foundation Trust and become University Hospitals of Northamptonshire.
