We are currently seeking an experienced and dedicated Compliance Manager to join our reputable energy brokerage firm.

As the Compliance Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing and ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements and industry standards within the energy sector.

Your expertise in compliance management, exceptional attention to detail, and strong analytical skills will be instrumental in upholding the highest level of integrity and ethical practices within our organisation.


Responsibilities:


  • Develop, implement, and maintain effective compliance policies, procedures, and controls in accordance with applicable laws, regulations, and industry best practices.
  • Conduct regular audits and risk assessments to identify potential compliance issues and areas for improvement.
  • Stay updated on changes to regulatory frameworks and industry guidelines related to energy brokerage, and ensure that the company remains in compliance.
  • Provide guidance and training to employees on compliance policies and procedures, promoting a culture of compliance awareness and ethical conduct.
  • Monitor and enforce internal policies and procedures to ensure consistency and compliance throughout the organisation.
  • Collaborate with crossfunctional teams to review and approve marketing materials, contracts, and other customerfacing documents for compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Conduct investigations into compliance breaches, incidents, and complaints, and recommend corrective actions as necessary.
  • Develop and deliver compliance reports to senior management, highlighting areas of concern and proposing appropriate remedial measures.
  • Serve as the main point of contact for regulatory authorities and oversee regulatory examinations and audits.
  • Conduct compliance training sessions and workshops for employees to enhance their understanding of compliance requirements and mitigate risks.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience working in compliance management, preferably within the energy industry or a related field such as finance or brokerage.
  • Indepth knowledge of regulatory requirements and industry standards applicable to energy brokerage.
  • Strong understanding of compliance frameworks, risk management principles, and internal control systems.
  • Excellent analytical skills, with the ability to interpret complex regulations and assess their impact on business operations.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and the ability to maintain accurate and organised records.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex compliance issues to employees at all levels of the organisation.
  • Proven experience in conducting audits, investigations, and developing compliance training programs.
  • Ability to work independently, make sound decisions, and prioritise tasks in a fastpaced and dynamic environment.
  • Strong ethical standards and a commitment to promoting a culture of compliance and integrity within the organisation.
  • Monday to Thursday 9am 5pm Friday 9am 4pm
