Altum are excited to partner with a well-known media company to find them a Junior Finance Analyst who can work with a small group finance team and take responsibility for the AP and AR functions of the business.

This is an excellent opportunity to becomea part of the company's' continued expansion.


Key Responsibilities

  • Supporting the FC with the accounting across entities
  • Maintaining the general ledger and posting journals
  • Assisting on the preparation of the monthly management accounts
  • Assisting with annual budgeting and reforecasting
  • Helping with the AP and AR functions
  • Processing invoices
  • Maintain the sales and purchase ledgers
  • Assisting with resolving any unreconciled balances and ledger settlements of control accounts
  • Organisation of monthly VAT report for the multiple entities across the UK Group
  • Creating and sustaining the process notes for all key work duties
  • Ad hoc office tasks, involving distribution of post to the group finance team

Key Skills

  • Studying towards Accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent)
  • Degree in accounting and Finance (or similar)
  • Eager to learn and take responsibility for the daily objectives
  • Proactive, inquisitive, and interactive individual
  • Excellent team player, willing to assist to team members wherever possible
  • Adaptable and quick learner
  • High attention to detail and hardworking
  • Previous experience in a finance department and accounting systems
  • Strong Excel, PowerPoint and general computer skills
