Opportunity to play a critical role in a Plant Proteins start-up business.

Leadership position with equity options.

KEY SKILLS / EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

Demonstrable track record in Production and Process Management relating to Food and/or Protein based products.
Exposure to New Product Development, and taking a food product from concept through to a viable commercial product.
The experience level to take a on a businesscritical lead role.
Ability to thrive in a fast paced and sometimes unpredictable start up environment.
Comfortable being UK based but undertaking regular travel, including periods of time abroad (largely dictated by the seasonal nature of the AgriFood sector).

ROLE OVERVIEW:

Our global AgriFood sector is currently facing a number of problems; with high levels of wastage, and the need to produce alternative food / protein sources, being two of the most pressing.

A significant portion of the biomass of harvested crops currentlygoes to waste, much of it never even leaving the field.

This start-up company have developed cutting edge mechatronics based technology that is capable of gathering this left over biomass (accounting for up to 80% of the crop in some cases), with the mission of converting this into consumable protein that canbe utilised in foods products.

With a talented engineering team already in place allied with various partners across the AgriFood sector, an experienced Production Lead is now required to spearhead the processes involved in evolving this protein product into a commercially viable productfor the food sector.

A Production process will need to be put in place that can be repeated and scaled.

This is an opportunity that could suit somebody with a strong level of experience who would relish the opportunity to play a business-critical lead role in a fast growing business - operating with a high degree of influence and autonomy in order to implementfood safe processes.

This will involve liaising with various parties including farmers, engineers and scientists; as well as developing partnerships with third parties and partner companies who could contribute to the upcycling process if you see fit.
