In this role you will be responsible for providing a caretaker service at our Supported Living properties in the Sutton area and playing a major role in fulfilling the Group's health and safety responsibilities.
WHAT WILL THE RIGHT PERSON LOOK LIKE?
WHAT WILL YOU BE DOING?
This role has a number of core objectives including:
Undertaking and recording building inspections for health and safety and security purposes, reporting any problems as required.
This includes day to day inspections including plant room and outside areas, fixing, reporting and following up on faults to a satisfactory conclusion.
- Overseeing and supporting cleaning of the communal areas. This will include corridors, stairs, lifts, laundry rooms, communal WC's, lounges, offices, grounds incl. car park. This includes monthly wet room shower drain cleaning where applicable and the recording and maintenance of substances in store cupboards (COSHH).
- Place and manage orders using computer systems for equipment required for the Scheme in line with Group procedures.
- Carrying out of minor repairs within the buildings, including within tenants' flats such as touch up painting, light bulb changing, clearing blocked waste pipes etc. External duties such as gritting pavements and walkways.
- Liaising with the support site team about contractors visiting the building. This includes external contractors for the fire system, CCTV, emergency lighting, lift, door access, specialised WCs and assisted bathing facilities, hoists and general maintenance. You will be required to ensure access for contractors and escort them around the schemes.
- Work alongside Support Site team and other agencies, to ensure our tenants are able to manage their tenancy and are happy in their home.
- The role will require local travel between our properties in the Sutton area and therefore you will need access to own vehicle.
