Herefordshire Marches Federation of Academies is a group of primary schools incorporating;
Lord Scudamore, Sutton, Kings Caple and St Weonards Academies


About this role

We currently have a vacancy for an enthusiastic and committed Finance Assistant within our central finance department based at Lord Scudamore Academy, Hereford. It is a requirement that this post is office based and there is no remote working.

37 hours per week Mon - Fri. Term time only, permanent variable range contract 25 to 37hrs

Salary Grade:
NJC Support Staff scale Pt6 to Pt11

Gross annual salary:
£21,968 to £24,054

Pro rata annual salary:
£18,418 to £20,167

• Previous finance experience preferably in excess of 3 years
• Knowledge of core accounting skills including; cost recording, reconciliations, journals and an understanding of purchase, sales and general ledgers
• High attention to detail for accurate processing
• Excellent communication skills
• Effective user of Word, Excel and accounting software
• Experience of working with confidential and/or sensitive information
• Educated to Alevel standard or equivalent
• Organised in their approach to work
• Able to work flexibly and supportively as part of a closeknit team
• Experienced in purchase ledger processing
• Able to work on one's own initiative
