Teaching Assistant - SEND School


Are you a qualified Teaching Assistant who enjoys working with young people who have special educational needs? Are you passionate about enabling young people to overcome barriers to learning? This wonderful, welcoming special school requires a friendly Teaching Assistant to work with small classes of students with a variety of special educational needs, including Autism, sensory impairments and MLD.


As a Teaching Assistant at this school, you will be joining a supportive and engaging team of Teaching Assistants and Teachers who are committed to making sure that every child has access to an outstanding education and loves being in school.

This role requires a Teaching Assistant or Classroom Assistant who has previous experience in special educational needs, and ideally holds a Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification.


Job Role:

  • Supporting on a whole class or 121 basis for students with a range of special educational needs and barriers to learning.
  • Having a good understanding of a range of special educational needs.
  • Working as a Classroom Assistant / Teaching Assistant.
  • Taking part in whole school activities and making school fun, engaging and beneficial for pupils.
  • Making learning fun and engaging for pupils with special educational needs.
