About the role

Since 1993, every summer the doors of Buckingham Palace's glorious State Rooms have been opened to the public for hundreds of thousands of people come to visit.

Joining our outstanding and friendly Ticket Sales and Information team, you'll be a vital part of each visitor's experience.

We look forward to welcoming visitors again in 2023 and in the year of The King's coronation, you'll have the opportunity to join the team who help millions enjoy the State Rooms at Buckingham Palace.

As a Ticketing and Sales Team Leader, you'll work alongside the Ticketing and Sales management team to ensure our Summer teams are delivering the highest quality of customer service, both face-to-face and on the phone.

What you'll be doing:

Assist in leading and motivating a team of Ticket Sales and Information Assistants
Responsible for the training and performance management for your team.
Setting and monitoring sales targets for your team, coaching them to ensure these are met.
Ensure daily operations run smoothly, acting as a point of escalation for issues that arise.
Provide excellent customer service, always maintaining a friendly and professional service.
Upsell to our customers on items such as gift aid and souvenir guides.

About you

What you'll bring:

Supervisory experience, ability to lead and motivate a team.
A friendly and professional attitude, both in person and on the telephone.
Customer service/sales experience, comfortable working in a target driven environment.
Excellent team player, able to act as a point of escalation when needed.
Good numeracy and computer literacy.

What we offer:

- £12.85 per hour.
