  • We are looking for great people to join our Asset Performance Teams across the West Midlands.
You will take an active role in managing our flood risk assets within a geographical area.

Your enthusiasm and positive outlook will help you find solutions and ensure our assets are inspected, surveyed, maintained and operated safely, effectively and efficiently to reduce flood risk for people and property.

You will support the delivery of annual maintenance work programmes and flood defence projects.

You will also assist in the continual improvement of our ways of working under our Asset Management System and help maintain our ISO55000 accreditation.

This role involves huge variety and so you may be supporting the delivery of an engineering project one day, undertaking data work the next day and liaising with contractors, local residents and partners on another.

It will involve home, office and field working.

  • We're seeking individuals with a passion for asset and/or flood risk management and a drive to better protect our communities at flood risk. The key things we're looking for are transferable skills and capabilities.
Ideally you'll be able to demonstrate most or all of the following:


  • Confident communication and customer service skills, as you will be working with internal and external partners, as well as with members of the public.
  • Good planning and organisational skills, you'll be able to demonstrate an ability to manage and interpret data and information.
  • Awareness of Project management.
Formal qualifications in civil engineering, project management, data and information management are advantageous but not a requirement.
A full UK Driving license is required.
