Working on behalf of one of valued clients in the Bolton area, we are resourcing for this Excellent Opportunity resourcing for an
Experienced Payroll Manager

As Payroll Manager you will be working within the finance team, leading the monthly and weekly payroll function for multiple companies ensuring the compliance and employment tax obligations along with relevant laws and regulations are followed and adheredto.

The Role

Process monthly payrolls and oversee weekly payrolls including any changes, starters and leavers in conjunction with their respective deadlines.
Supervise and assist the payroll clerk in completion of the weekly payrolls.
Ensure correct allocation of costs from time sheets and time allocations.
Ensure compliance with relevant laws and tax obligations, including benefits in kind, P11d. and P46(car) processing and pensions (including autoenrolment requirements).
Maintain accurate records and prepare reports.
Resolve issues and answer payroll related questions.
Liaise with external auditors and HMRC as appropriate.
Assist with adhoc reporting requirements for requirements such as Gender Pay Gap

Experience

Proven experience as a payroll manager or similar role
Excellent leadership skills
Current knowledge of payroll procedures, employment taxes and relevant laws and regulations.
Familiarity with payroll software, ideally Sage
Strong Microsoft Excel and numeracy skills
A keen eye for detail
Ability to work on own initiative
Supporting the team being a key team player
Good interpersonal skills
Calm under pressure
Ability to prioritise workload
Working to and meeting deadlines
