Heyland Finance Recruitment are pleased to be assisting a global Manufacturing business based in the Warrington area with the recruitment of a Senior Management Accountant/Finance Manager.

Reporting to the Finance Director, the Finance Manager will be responsible for preparing and providing all financial information, support and advice to staff and management in line with the company policy, delivering high quality financial and management accountsacross the UK part of the business.

You will also take full responsibility of reviewing and improving existing processes, initiating and driving efficiency by streamlining and automating current procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

Maintains the company's accounts in line with local law and the Groups controller manual.
Responsible for effective accounting controls and full month end close activities that ensures the production of management accounts pack and group consolidation.
Reporting, analysis and interpretation of KPI's and financial information in order to appraise operating results in terms of profitability, performance against budget etc.
Support with preparation of full year financial statements and tax accounts
Support with internal/external audits and tax returns for UK&I
Ensures that financial statements are always current in line with the Groups provisioning, ageing and depreciation policies
Responsible for preparing budget and financial forecasts
Strict control and optimisation of the company's working capital position including inventory and accounts receivable.
Ensure an efficient transaction management infrastructure
Support the FD in establishing an effective internal control system for the organisation with adequate segregation of duty and limits of authority
Ensure efficient financial processes.
Support the FD in management, development and control of the company's ERP and other financial systems

The Finance Manager will also provide reviews and commentary on business performance for operational expenditures.

You will be expected to work closely with the Finance Business Partners, establishing strong relationships and improving strategic decision making.
