Are you an English graduate looking for your first placement within a school?

Can you teach KS3 & KS4 students English work to a high standard?


  • English ECT
  • Permanent - September 2024
  • MPS - £30,000 salary
  • Location - Solihull
** 76% pass rate at GCSE English in 2023


The ideal English ECT will have experience supporting English students up to GCSE level within the classroom and within small group intervention sessions.

As an English ECT you must have completed your PGCE giving you the relevant training and preparation to plan and deliver engaging lessons to the students.


This is a fantastic secondary school located just outside of Solihull, the head of English has been with the school for several years and has made the department one of the best schools in Solihull for GCSE results.


This school is easily accessible via public transport links from both Solihull and Birmingham City centre, as well as having on-site parking the headteacher aims to give you a warm welcome and equip you with all the tools and materials you need to plan and deliver engaging lessons to KS3 & KS4 students.
