What You'll Bring:

We're looking for a Head of Infrastructure Services o join our growing team.


Day to Day You'll Be:


  • Lead the Infrastructure Services teams located across multiple regions, in supplying PlatformasaService to the UK delivery and operational teams.
  • Foster a culture of DevOps into the delivery (development) and operations teams you work with to foster a high degree of cooperation, learning and coordination between these areas.
  • Embed a culture of infrastructureascode to achieve rapid, repeatable, and reliable deployments and maintenance of all IT platforms the team provides.
  • Mentor and coach members of the Infrastructure Services Teams to encourage that everyone is working to, and improving on, high quality standards, whilst being a leader in innovating new methods to ensure we can deliver reliable solutions efficiently.
  • Support the IT Ops director in the management of budgets (both CAPEX and OPEX).
  • Effectively manage and own relevant technical and business risks
  • Manage key suppliers, holding them to account and using their expertise as required.
  • Drive datadriven discussions to articulate the need for new deliveries into the business, supporting the writing of business cases and supporting artefacts.
  • Support the governance process for delivery by holding a place on the UK Technical Design Authority in conjunction with the Architecture team.

Essential Skills & Experience:


  • Commercial experience of leading and managing Infrastructure and network teams in a large global enterprise Fintech business.
  • Ability to motivate and inspire teams and successfully introduce improvements through, for example, the adoption of best practices.
  • A cando attitude and strong personality to own problems and find solutions.
  • Strong background in infrastructure or network operations\delivery including cloud platforms such as AWS and Azure
  • Excellent problemsolving skills.
  • Ability to find and define project requirements.
  • Ability to lead discussion and influence decisions within the field of infrastructure specialism.
  • Strong Information Security / Cyber Security awareness.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, able to communicate at all levels of the business, both technical and none technical
  • Collaborative approach to working with technical and nontechnical teams across the business.
  • Willingness to learn and embrace industry developments and practices from both a Development and Operations background.
  • Strong knowledge of Financial Industry regulations.
  • Familiar with working to financial controls, P&L, forecasting etc.
  • Able to work in a process and governance heavy environment.
