The role

Day to day, you'll:

  • Ensure that all security requirements are met by the business and are compliant with Babcock Policy and other internal requirements as well as all external contractual obligations and legal requirements.
  • Provide support and ensuring compliance to Prime Contract obligations in accordance with Delegated Authority approval and Security process requirements.
  • Work collaboratively with the project team to provide timely support and accurate interpretations of security conditions associated with Contracting Authority security requirements. In addition, to support Commercial, Supply Chain and Bid work activities ensuring such security conditions are properly flowed down and accurately implemented.
  • Provide security support to both internal and external stakeholders to enable an open and transparent working relationship focused on resolving issues as they arise as well as supporting the development of specific plans for change to meet key customer requirements.

Essential experience of the Security Specialist:

  • A thorough working knowledge of all aspects of the Security Policy Framework / GOV S007as well as JSP 440.
  • Good practical understanding of General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR).
  • Good knowledge of security risk management practices and the identification, implementation and monitoring of current risk mitigation techniques and processes.
  • Experience of producing accurate security risk assessments and being able to recommend proportionate mitigations and solutions to risk and vulnerabilities.


This role provides hybrid working with one to two days per week in the office and the remainder working from home.


Qualifications for the Security Specialist:
