SEN Teacher - January 2023:

  • 2 term contract, January July
This Central South London SEN School caters for pupils aged with a variety of needs including PMLD and SLD.

The leadership team at school is fantastic - with a wealth of experience which they use to ensure all teachers are fully prepared and in thebest position to deliver best practice at all times.

Facilities at the school are state of the art, and every classroom has a team of highly experienced SEN Support Workers to offer additional support to class teachers.

As a SEN Teacher, you willbe required to plan, prepare and deliver engaging lessons that are differentitated to suit the inidividual needs and abilities of each pupil.

Class sizes at school are small, and there will be assistance with planning if needed.
You will meet regularly with parents/carers and SLT to feedback on student progress and evaluate EHCPs.

The ideal SEN Teacher will have previous experience working with students with PMLD; and be confident in handling those needs within the class.

Though this experience would be advantageous, the school is interested in hearing from SEN Teachers who have a backgroundin teaching students with other additional needs including ASD, SEMH and EBD.


Qualifications/Experience Required:


  • QTS or QTLS
  • Confident behaviour management skills
  • Knowledge of the National Curriculum and safeguarding policies
  • Enhanced DBS Certificate (either Child or Child and Adult) ideally on the update service
  • 1 year minimum previous SEN Teaching experience (either in a Special or Mainstream School Context)
  • UK Right to Work
