  • Are you a fundraiser keen to extend your experience with a growing and exciting organisation? We are looking for a positive and committed person to join our fundraising team, to deliver our individual giving programme, and help grow our support base._

Oasis exists to create healthy thriving communities and reduce exclusion, through a holistic and Christ-centred approach to community development and social innovation.

Our work is centred in local communities where we provide education; youth, children and families work; and community services.

We are also working in reducing homelessness, the prevention of human trafficking, and the creation of the UK's first secure school, Oasis Restore.

Oasis' work and mission has grown rapidly in the last decade.

We are looking to recruit an Engagement Officer who will bring new capacity to grow our core funding base, providing new and different ways for individuals, churches, corporate and organisational partners to engage and participate in the ever-growing Oasis movement.

The post-holder will work as part of a small Fundraising and Communications team, assisting the Head of Fundraising to deliver our individual giving programme.

Some of the specific duties of this role will include:

  • Developing ways for a wider audience to participate with Oasis in activities such as challenge events, alumni network, corporate partnerships, and awareness campaigns
  • Helping to produce products and campaign to motivate and inspire our audiences and recruit new support
  • Creating strong and wellevidenced fundraising propositions for use across regular mailings and digital communications, and oneoff campaigns
  • Being responsible for maintaining our CRM database, tracking engagement through regular reports, identifying key contacts for relationship development, and mapping appropriate donor journeys

The successful applicant will demonstrate:

  • Excellent oral/written communication skills, and proven ability to communicate effectively at all levels to both internal and external audiences
  • Proven IT skills and knowledge of a supporter database or CRM system
  • Ability to reflect the Oasis ethos and values
  • Prior experience of supporter engagement, fundraising, or communications work in a charity setting

For your expertise and commitment, Oasis can offer:

  • A truly supportive network and family of staff in a motivating working environment.
  • A noncontributory defined benefit pension scheme with 7% Employer contributions.
  • 25 days annual leave (plus Bank Holiday), rising to 33 days over time.
  • A Cycle to Work scheme and eligibility to join a cashplan healthcare scheme.
  • The opportunity to be part of a movement making positive change in communities.
