The role holder will be responsible for their own backlog of Features, User Stories and System Bugs. Liaising with stakeholders, prioritising the backlog and ensuring the work meet the definition of ready.


The role holder will work as a Product Owner within the IT department, responsible for a functional area of our Finance Operations Platform, driving it forwards to deliver value to our users, and aligning with the company objectives.


Collaborating with scrum teams of internal software developers, business experts and third party software suppliers to develop, deliver and implement new and enhanced software based solutions.


You will ensure that non-functional requirements are captured and prioritised so that all attributes of the system are covered to deliver a reliable and high-quality service to our clients.


Responsibilities:


  • Be an ambassador for Productled concepts.
  • Develop a deep understanding of our users, their needs, and the direction they are going in.
  • Develop a broad knowledge of the Platform industry.
  • Work with a multifunctional team to find the best path to creating meaningful value for our customers in line with our overall company objectives. This could involve adding to our proposition, improving the existing proposition, meeting the requirements of new regulations, or changing the way we work operationally.
  • Maintain a roadmap view of your backlog.
  • Lead Example Mapping sessions to collaborate and align on acceptance criteria for User Stories.
  • Lead both team and crossteam improvement sessions for upcoming work items.
  • Identify nonfunctional needs such as usability, performance, security and service levels.
  • Work within the scrum framework iteratively and collaboratively with design, engineering, operations, legal, compliance and many others to refine your plan and execute against it effectively.
  • Plan. Deliver. Review. Adjust. Fast, iteratively, and in control.
  • Develop and track core metrics for your functional areas.
  • Identify and manage risks & issues through to resolution, ensuring all affected/interested parties are aware, escalating if necessary.
  • Validate software build for completeness, accuracy, and quality.
  • Assist with the review and prioritisation of defects.
  • Coordinate and support user acceptance testing as necessary and support the implementation process.
  • Work closely with the rest of the Product team and outside it, to share ideas, and relentlessly look for ways to improve how we can add value to the Product.

Experience:


  • Robust experience as a Senior Business Analyst, Product Owner or Product Manager in an agile development environment.
  • Demonstrable experience of delivering solutions to tight deadlines in a rapidly changing and dynamic environment.
  • Experience using Azure DevOps or a similar management tool to support the endtoend development lifecycle.
